How do i work on my singing when i have never had vocal lessons?

i am in a conservatory theater program and when i tried out i had no idea i was going to have to sing. we did all the training and then the director told us that we were going to be in a musical, which no one had heard about. The other 8 actors all have singing training, but i do not. and the character i have been cast as has like 2 solos and one duet. she based this off of my audition song, which was "I wanna be like you" from the jungle book, which isn't even a real song. And now i have to actually sing notes and stuff and i am definitely struggling. But i know how the music all goes now, i just am not a very good singer, but because i'm singing in a russian accent, it doesn't really matter. but i have problems staying on pitch. does anyone know any really good vocal warm-ups or anything i can do at home other than just practicing the music to help my pitch? anything at all to help my singing whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.

get a tape recorder and rec. your self as you sing. then once your done you play it back to yourself then you know if you can/can not sing. if you can't then decide if you want to go higher or lower and adjust your voice accordingly.

GOOD LUCK!

sing along to songs u kno and adjust ur voice so u are singin in the same key and tone as the vocalist on the sing. thats what i did n i now been told that im quite a good singer
practice until your throat hurts, try to get in on some sort of chorus group or choir and just sing with your heart in it
